Cybercriminals offered 40 million user
records from popular mobile application Wishbone.
According to hacker’s claim data contains
emails, phone numbers, usernames, hashed password and location information.
This attack took place in the beginning of
the year (timestamps are from January 2020). That’s not the first attack on the
Wishbone app, another one took place in 2017.
Actual number of Wishbone users is not clear
but the application was in the App Store top 50 during the few last years.
