More than
10000 legal documents contained details of commercial property owners were exposed.
It may impact the client of 190 law firms approximately.
While the
data related to the commercial property transactions may be on public, business
emails, addresses, passwords and much more other details should not be in the
public domain.
The flaw was
discovered by British technology company TurgenSec which contacted and informed
law firms. “Due to the sensitive nature if the data, we judged there to potentially
be a high risk of harm to the individuals and firms involved,” TurgenSec said.
Advanced Computer
Software, British software company, which software was used to scan and upload
mentioned documents, immediately addressed the issue and also contacted customers.
