During the COVID-19 lockdown the use of
shipping services significantly increased. This triggered a cybercriminals’
activity as well.
When people are expecting to have their
orders delivered the following attacks appeared:
1.
Fake delivery
preference messages: pretend to be from FedEx, tricked victims to provide personal
information and credit card details. Phishing message contains a link which
redirects victims to customer satisfaction survey.
2.
Phishing
emails with links to fake delivery tracking websites.
3.
Fake delivery
notifications contained malware which allows hackers to take control over a PC.
4.
Fake DHL shipment
arrival notification’s contained Trojan.Win32.GULOADER.A.
