Another scam related to COVID-19 was recently
announced. At this time, it targets
people who believe they were in contact with COVID-19 positive person.
These test messages pretend to be sent by an official
source but in reality, they attempt to steal bank account and other PII
details.
Chartered Trading Standards Institute (CTSI)
posted the details in Twitter on May 12.
“We have witnessed a surge in Covid-19-related
scams since lockdown began,” said Katherine Hart, CTSI lead officer.

The National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) recently
announced that they have received more than 160 000 reports about suspicious
emails, most of them are Covid-19 related.
